I’ve decided to review and reduce the current lineups of all of the Manufacturers selling cars in the US market.
Acura
ILX
- just buy a Civic
MDX
NSX
RDX
RLX
TLX
Alfa Romeo - keeps its whole lineup!
Aston Martin
DB11
- who greenlit this Nissan styled abomination?
Rapide S - started out neat in 2010, the bass mouth update was a colossal mistake
Vantage - it’s starting to grow on me
Audi - no more convertible variants, they’re all trash. Other than that, everything is fine.
Bentley
Mulsanne
Flying Spur - why do you even still build this?
Bentayga - narrow pass
Continental GT (Gen 3)
BMW - no more convertibles for you either! Also, no X2, X4, and X6.
Buick
Cascada
- never understood why they imported these in the first place
Enclave
Encore - a rollover accident waiting to happen
Envision
LaCrosse
Regal
Cadillac
ATS
CT6
CTS
Escalade - just buy a Yukon Denali
XT4
XT5
XTS - just buy a Buick LaCrosse
Chevrolet
Spark
Bolt
Volt
Cruze
Malibu
Impala - just buy the Buick
Camaro
Corvette
City Express - it’s a Nissan anyway
Express - sure is 1998 in here
Trax
Equinox
Traverse
Suburban
Tahoe
Colorado
Silverado
Chrysler - they’ve already thinned the herd
Dodge
Challenger
Charger
Durango
Journey - get this subprime loan bait outta here
Fiat - I’m not sure if I need to ban the models I did, they’re not selling anyway
124
500
500E
500L
500X
Ford - seems to have culled the herd itself, but I’d add the Flex and EcoSport to the list
Genesis - gets to keep everything
GMC - gets to keep everything
Honda - only the Odyssey is banned
Hyundai - banned in its entirety
Infiniti - banned in its entirety
and on that note, I’ll do the second half tomorrow.

You seem to have some strong convertible hate. Also why kill the Odyssey? Some people need minivans, and the consensus seems to be the Odyssey is the best one. Kill it while leaving the Caravan seems odd.
![]() 10/16/2018 at 20:45 |

Audi and BMW convertibles look terrible.
The Odyssey is ugly, therefore bant.
I didn’t even know the Caravan was still in production. It is banned too.

Why would I want a Yukon Denali when the Escalade is better looking inside and out?
Hard mode: Don’t mention CUE in your answer.
![]() 10/16/2018 at 20:48 |
|
Because the Escalade isn’ t better looking than a Yukon Denali, just more ostentatious.
![]() 10/16/2018 at 20:49 |
|
The Yukon looks like a pig.
![]() 10/16/2018 at 20:56 |

I agree with everything but killing off the DB11
![]() 10/16/2018 at 20:57 |
|
Between this and the Odyssey, it's almost like you don't want them to make money
![]() 10/16/2018 at 21:00 |
|
The Escalade is the only Cadillac that makes money and the Ford Flex is already dead.
![]() 10/16/2018 at 21:01 |
|
The DB11 looks like it has the ride height of an SUV, goofy Nissan floating pillar roof, and A S T O N M A R T I N unnecessarily P ep B oys-ed across the rear.
![]() 10/16/2018 at 21:02 |

Money is overrated, ban bad design.
![]() 10/16/2018 at 21:04 |

RIP
![]() 10/16/2018 at 21:05 |

Thats technically the new DBS.
The DB11 butt looks like this:

Hmm, the Flying Spur is the only Bentley I’d actually like to purchase, and I’d probably prefer the V8 version over the W12 because I figure that if I were to own a car like that I’d probably be back in SoCal and stuck on the 405 going 3 MPH. The idea of bragging about specs and cubic dollars spent has zero appeal to me. Even when I had money my 5-series and E-Class were the base models, 6 cylinders only and never the V8s, and with the MT on the 525i.
Honda? Not much in their lineup interests me other than the Odyssey. OK, I like the idea of the Accord with the MT, but I like minivans and would probably just want an Oddy...
GMC? Ostentatious Chevrolets. When they had real work trucks I understood why they existed, but nowadays I fail to see the point of their continued existence.
On the rest? Yeah, pretty much agree so far, although I’d like to see Audi do something with the styling to differentiate the models a tad. I remember when I could tell an A4 from an A6 and an A8 as they all had distinctive styling, but today I can’t tell them apart.

I followed along until i got to “ban all convertibles.”
We are not friends.
![]() 10/16/2018 at 21:08 |
|
Wow. First time seeing that angle.
It's.... Hideous...? Why? Why is it so bad?
![]() 10/16/2018 at 21:09 |

The TT is a nice-looking convertible
![]() 10/16/2018 at 21:10 |
|
I should’ve clarified that the Z4 could stay. Just no more sedan/coupes turned convertibles.
![]() 10/16/2018 at 21:12 |
|
Not going to give the Z4 a chance?
![]() 10/16/2018 at 21:13 |
|
Yeah, I should’ve clarified that it and the Z4 could stay. I meant sedan/coupe derived ‘ verts.
![]() 10/16/2018 at 21:14 |
|
It and the TT can stay. I meant sedan/coupe derived convertibles.
![]() 10/16/2018 at 21:29 |

Why such hate for minivans? The Odyssey and Pacifica are needed for good folks that understand that a midsized Crossover have less than half the interior space.
![]() 10/16/2018 at 21:38 |
|
I didn’t kill the Pacifica.
![]() 10/16/2018 at 21:40 |
|
But you only have the photo of the 300
![]() 10/16/2018 at 21:44 |
|
I only have one picture per make, the Pacifica and 300 are all Chrysler have left.
![]() 10/16/2018 at 21:48 |
|
“Bad design”
But this is apparently ok.
![]() 10/16/2018 at 21:50 |
|
Don’t forget the XT5 and the upcoming XT4, the former of wh i ch he killed.
![]() 10/16/2018 at 21:51 |

Clean uncluttered lines vs
this wonky ass set of body lines.
![]() 10/16/2018 at 21:53 |

The Escalade is more fashionable, though—it speaks of LA streets and NYC red carpets. All the Denali tells me is that Farmer Joe in Texas happens to be very wealthy and wants all 2 of his neighbors to know that a Taho e is too plebeian .
![]() 10/16/2018 at 21:55 |
|
None of what you said about the Escalade sounds like a positive to me...
![]() 10/16/2018 at 22:01 |
|
J ust make the Q50 the new Maxima and flush the brand for now. Infiniti hasn’t debuted a good car that isn’t sold here as a Nissan since 2012 with the G37 IPL.
![]() 10/16/2018 at 22:01 |
|
It’s iconic and indicative of a progressive take on the ideas of old GM in that it is a symbol for urban culture nationwide.
The Denali just seems kinda racist and redneck, bought by people who don’t want an Escalade “because black people drive them” .
![]() 10/16/2018 at 22:04 |
|
Oh yeah. Duh! I need to go to bed.
![]() 10/16/2018 at 22:04 |

One thing your right about is the Lascrosse vs Impala. Why would anyone buy the Chevy when the LaCrosse looks so damn good
![]() 10/16/2018 at 22:05 |
|
I think ditching GMC as a whole makes a lot more sense.
![]() 10/16/2018 at 22:05 |

“ One of the many things your right about is the Lascrosse vs Impala. Why would anyone buy the Chevy when the LaCrosse looks so damn good”
![]() 10/16/2018 at 22:09 |
|
Mmmm, we all know that GMC would never have a vehicle with body lines as cluttered and unresolved as the Odyssey...
![]() 10/16/2018 at 22:10 |
|
I think you’ve got that all backwards. The Denali is the luxury of the Escalade without the “LOOK AT ME IN MY ESCALADE”. It’s what the boss you actually like drives, instead of the guy who just wants to stunt on everyone.
(source, one of my Project Managers just bought one)
![]() 10/16/2018 at 22:11 |
|
Honestly forgot they had done that to the Terrain, banned.
![]() 10/16/2018 at 22:13 |
|
But if you really want the luxury without the flex:
It’s the same damn thing. GMC is for people who are too snobby for Chevy and too country for Cadillac.
![]() 10/16/2018 at 22:16 |
|
I see it as the goldilocks zone, but then again I’m just some backwards Kansan...
![]() 10/16/2018 at 22:19 |
|
Don’t worry, I’m killing Nissan entirely as well :)
![]() 10/16/2018 at 22:32 |
|
I’m weirdly fine with that. They’re priced too high south of the border anyway.
![]() 10/17/2018 at 00:22 |
|
Unsure why you’re anti-Hyundai. Infiniti should at least keep their big RWD sedans, too.
![]() 10/17/2018 at 08:26 |
|
Because Kia and Genesis have made their brand irrelevant
![]() 10/17/2018 at 09:02 |
|
Kia and Hyundai aren't the same company. Genesis is a totally different market segment. Why not kill Kia and keep Hyundai? I could see keep the Stinger, Soul, and Kia crossovers, but keep Hyundai around for sedans and hatches, killing crossovers.
![]() 10/17/2018 at 09:42 |
|
Hyundai’s styling is terrible, while Kia has forged their own identity. Hyundai has become the Mercury of KIA/Hyundai/Genesis, so it should die.
![]() 10/17/2018 at 10:50 |
|
Pretty sure it’s closer to Kia is DeSoto, Hyundai is Chrysler, and Genesis is Imperial. It works on so many levels!
![]() 10/17/2018 at 11:03 |
|
Except that Kia is an economy brand so that doesn’t work at all
![]() 10/19/2018 at 21:53 |

This is the most praise I’ve ever seen the Buick LaCrosse get, however indirectly. I’m pleased.
“ Chrysler - they’ve already thinned the herd”
Fuckin lol.
